Xmas Comes Early!!

It's party time again for politicians and their hangers-on as they foolishly rejoice over the release of $2b Excess Crude Fund.
The prospects of even a token round of 'road building' and 'job-creation/'job-preservation' projects are more remote than those of resolving the acute power shortage.
Expect to see a spate of overseas trips from them, under the pretext of attracting investors to their states.
Is it difficult, even for these schleps, to imagine what such vast amounts could do for the people in terms of services and infrastructures, were the money to be propitiously utilized?
Yes, I know. It's a familiar story. So, what am I ranting about then? I'm ranting because I'm rather bored with the hubristic attitude and perorations of these non-persons, milking our apathy for what it's worth.
It's not up to them; it's up to us. Are we ready to just plod along while we continue to be slapped repeatedly in the face and kicked in the groin?
