Anyone there?

I've been exasperated for ages about the situation of my beloved Nigeria. I'm safe in the knowledge that there are tens of millions of my fellow citizens that share this mood with me.
The questions are thus:
  • Are we prepared, as one, to rise up against the pollutants of our collective destiny?
  • Are we in collective agreement that the time for sonorous speeches is definitely over?
  • Are we ready to match our words with befitting actions?
  • Are we brave enough to mount an assault on these pilferers and peculators called politicians for the sake of our long-suffering people?
  • Are we up to the task of identifying the cogs and weeding out the clogs in our wheel of progress?

If you can honestly answer 'yes' to the above questions, then may I have the honour of inviting you to contribute to this new blog?

Together, we will make a difference and bring about positive changes that our motherland deserves, and that, our people expect and are entitled to.

Let's make a start now.

Thank you.

  1. Naturally, myself I think many people will give a resounding "yes" to the questions you asked. However, you will do well to convince me that this will not be another talking shop by describing just "how" you think these can be achieved.

  2. I note your point, sir. Quite valid. However, do we start on the premise that people would just treat this like you opined? There may have been a million attempts, but one ought not be fazed by the seemingly impossible task of sanitizing the political arena. Afterall, it takes the inaction of good men for evil men to prevail. These 'politicians' are certainly evil to the core, and they stink. No single person can bring about change. We all have work to do, and it is NOW.
